Our White (or at least cold) Indiana Christmas

Well, here's a ton of pictures from our wonderful visit to Indiana. Maddie had so much fun. She played in the rice box with Grandma Karen over and over, followed Carly and Eli wherever they went, fell in love with Uncle Pat(just like he knew she would), got to hold baby Silas, built her very first snowman(and ate his nose!),opened lots of presents, got lots of lipstick from Aunt Julie, and went on a few hillbilly wagon rides. Now that's what we call a good time! Coming home was a bummer, not only because Maddie got up at 4am for a week due to the time change, but mostly because she missed her buddy Carly. She asked for her and Eli every day. She missed jumping on the trampoline and riding the tire swing with her cousins in the freezing weather-can you imagine? Whenever anyone out here asked Maddie how Indiana was she would always just say "cold". Anyhow, we miss everyone and can't wait to be back this summer!

Our California Christmas

We began our Christmas celebration right here at home. In fact, it began weeks before December 25th. We decided to let Maddie open one present each day leading up to our trip to Indiana. We figured she could really enjoy her stuff if she got one thing at a time. It really seemed to work. Her favorite gift was her pink quad. At first she could not figure out the steering, but now she maneuvers like a pro!

Maddie caught Ben sleeping while He was suppose to be playing with her and thought it would be a great opportunity to play beauty shop. She painted his toe nails and even applied blush to his legs. Of course none of this interrupted Ben's shuteye!
